Nepal Maoists Chief restive, says ready to face any price

Telegraph Nepal

Talking to media men, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ of Unified Maoists Party made it clear that the decision to handover weapons, cantonments and militias to the Nepal Army was taken ‘hastily' to break the ongoing conspiracies to derail the peace process.

The media men were invited at his newly owned posh bungalow in Lazimpat area of Kathmandu, April 11, 2012.

Five Star Press Meet, it must have been so.

Dahal presenting himself as a ‘sacrosanct’ leader claimed, “It was my decision. I am ready to accept the responsibly for both positive and negative outcomes”.

Notably, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is at a stone throwing distance from Prachanda’s new home. So the second NOIDA is close?

Dahal has a habit to sneak into the Indian Embassy premises in the dark as he used to while Rakesh Sood was the Indian Ambassador to Nepal. Oh! The Rasputin!

“It was a bold and historic decision,” also claimed the Unified Maoists’ Party Chairman and continued, “The decision was a big slap on the face of the forces that are conspiring against the peace and constitutional processes.”

“It has become their duty to deplore our positive decisions”, he said referring to the fresh activities of the hardliner panel of his own party and added, “It is their habit. I suggest them not to create unnecessary hindrances.”

“We have completed major tasks related to the peace process, we will entirely focus on constitution drafting now onwards”, he also claimed.

To recall, a terrified looking Chairman Dahal the other day at the special committee meeting had suspected that if weapons in Maoist’s possession were not handed over to the Nepal Army, the weapons could be pointed towards the party leaders.

Fear psychosis appears to have already gripped Chairman Dahal-the ferocious of the bygone era.

“It is likely that the arms could be misused. It is confirmed that the arms could be pointed towards you and me. Let us hand them over to the Army,” a visibly terrified Dahal told at the Special Committee meeting.
