Here is another popular Nepali adage that goes well with the street performance of various energetic sections of Nepali society that includes youth faction of the proven inept political parties, civil society, journalists and others who claim that these are being played to build pressure to draft the constitution on time.

Face Saving formulae!

There remains mere forty seven days or so to complete the constitution drafting process.

For the last four years, when the national exchequer was being drained the same section of the society was in a deep slumber. Money spinning perhaps!

Similarly, actor Jhalanath Khanal of United Marxist Leninist has devised one strategy to befool the population.

Khanal has begun talking to the population over telephone throughout the country. Drama this! Is Devi Prasad, the top slapper, listening?

Issuing a press note, Khanal’s press advisor Ram Babu Adhikari claims, “The Chairman talked to the party cadres in the district of Solukhumbu. Responding to a query from a cadre, the Chairman said that any sort of readymade constitution was not acceptable to the party.”

“Any constitution drafted in a dark chamber will be out rightly rejected by the people,” Khanal told over the ‘telephone sambad.’

Kamal Thapa very freshly revealed that a Remote Control Nepal Charter is being awarded to Nepal. Maoists leader C. P. Gajurel too subscribes to this view but he very candidly says that the new constitution would be an Delhi “imposed” one.
