According to senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal of United Marxist Leninist Party, majority of the contentious issues of constitution drafting have been resolved at various informal meetings between the political leadership.

He was addressing a program in Kathmandu, April 7, 2012.

“Electoral system, type of governance, judiciary and federalism will be resolved immediately upon completion of the peace process”, revealed Nepal and added, “We are fully aware of our limitations and have set the bottom-line accordingly.”

“Yet, the Maoists must surrender their weapons to the State immediately”, he demanded. Mr. Nepal also suspected that the internal rivalry inside the Unified Maoists’ Party could be another ploy to keep the political parties guessing.

“I have failed to understand whether it is also a plot to pressurize us”, a bemused Nepal expressed.
