Nepal UML leader not hopeful of Nepal Charter on time

”Forces that are against peace and constitution have increased their ante,” said Bam Dev Gautam of United Marxist Leninist and added, “They must be completely wiped-out if there is no constitution after May 27.”

Bam Dev is taken as half UML and the rest Maoists.

The UML vice chairman Gautam also suspected that the constitution will not be promulgated within remaining 50 days or so.

“The peace process was about to be completed in six months. The Constitution was supposed to be drafted in two years. Four years have already passed. We have just few days left, this has raised serious question mark”.

He did not say how much share he has for himself in this money spinning delay?

Gautam also warned against the possibility of revolt within the Maoists’ Party.

“The party leadership has repeatedly exploited the party cadres, YCL and PLA as their bargaining tools. The day will soon come when their cadres will lock all the party leaders in a room.”

What an interesting drama that would be if that becomes a reality? Look like a Hollywood film.

The party general secretary Ishwar Pokharel addressing the same mass meet held in Attariya of Kailali, April 5, 2012 said, “A namesake constitution is not acceptable to the party. A forward-looking democratic constitution is what the people want.”

Some other party leaders expressed their views at the mass meet.

  • I think at least this one thing gautam Bam dev said rightly. The day will soon come when their cadres will lock all the party leaders in a room.” What an interesting drama that would be if that becomes a reality? Look like a Hollywood film. The very basic of this party is such. And this is bound happen one day and the maobadi neta deserve this to pay the crime they have done to this peaceful progressing nation. watch out.....
