According to lame duck Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala, by mid-April the current government led by Unified Maoists’ Party Vice Chairman Baburam will be replaced by his own party government.
Koirala perhaps doesn’t know that Bhattarai’s GURU is in town.
To recall, Senior NC leader Ram Saran Mahat the other day had alleged that the government led by Baburam was in office as per India’s wishes.
Whether Koirala is as intelligent as Mahat is not known to analysts. But why so much debate in such a minor issue. Analysts opine that India instead is clever.
Koirala is also of the view that none of the parties except Nepali Congress was capable to bring to a desired end to the peace and constitutional processes.
Early morning on Wednesday April 4, 2012, Koirala made these remarks talking to media men in Janakpur.
Koirala continued, “To break the political deadlock, Prime Minister Baburam should tender his resignation within fifteen days or so.”
“The major parties have time and again reached agreements to end the peace process, yet the Maoists have betrayed the parties repeatedly”, he lamented as usual.
“The Maoists continue to confuse and deceit the population,” he concluded.
