Chairman Kamal Thapa of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal who stands firm in his political standing for unconditional return of monarchy said in Chitwan, April 2, 2012, that in order to avert the crisis after parties fail to draft the constitution, the constitution of 1990 with constitutional monarchy could be revived.
Thapa’s sure shot formulae.
“After May 27 the country will enter into a critical phase of constitutional vacuum”, said Thapa and added, “At best, the 1990 constitution with monarchy could protect the country.”
“There is the urgent need for an intense dialogue between all factions of the society to achieve the target of peace and constitution”, he opined.
However, he warned that sidelining any of the factions could trigger yet another crisis.
“The constitution should be inclusive of all demands,” he said and continued, “The only option for getting rid of the present crisis is through cooperation, unity and dialogue between Communists, Parliamentarians and Nationalists.”
