Nepal VP Jha foresee Kingdom revival, pleads public to accept eventuality

Nepal’s vice President Parmananda Jha is of the view that failure to draft the constitution within May 27 could facilitate the grand return of monarchy.

“Who would have imagined that the country will turn into a republican state? We had only tried”, he told journalists and added, “If people so desire who can stop return of monarchy. We have to respect the peoples’ desire if that does happen.”

Religion factor bring the two closer.

“If our political parties continue to destroy rather than construct, no one can stop return of monarchy”, he reiterated.

“There should be no doubt whatsoever that the country will not get the constitution on May 27”, Jha opined and asked, “Why not our political parties begin early discussions seeking possible alternatives for the situation emerging after May 27.”

“We cannot put entire blames on the 601 CA members for having failed to draft the constitution. Some ten leaders only who represent three major parties are the devils”.

“There is no possibility for further extension of constituent assembly term. Better they vacate the constituent assembly by declaring themselves inefficient”, he also told at an interaction with journalists in Kathmandu, April 2, 2012.

  • It's a very good sign when the Vice President of the Country is talking about the return of the Monarchy. The constituent assembly is dead in the water. Constitutional Monarchy is the only way forward for Nepal. Republican order is not for Nepal. Revive 1990 Constitution after May 27th.

  • VP Jha now seems starting from fresh mind and seeing right ideas and thoughts.Nepal can not be left in a this very dirty mess,so reving the 1990 constitution and applying some required changes on it is a only way to immediate get relief from this uncertainity.
