Telegraph Nepal
Unbelievable this may sound but yet true.
One Nepali scholar enters into the den of the Indian Military Academy and hurls allegation that their regime virtually ruined Nepal as it stands today.
How they may have taken the Nepali threat?
Look how Dr. Pushpa Adhikari while addressing senior officers of the Indian Army, recently in Delhi perhaps, made the attending military men to digest his scathing remarks made against the entire Indian regime. The date has not been made public though.
“India has virtually ruined Nepal by sub-letting her time tested and age old traditional relationship to the Left Alliance of the government in 2005-6 and helped introduce a hard line regime in Nepal”, says Dr. Adhikari-the former executive director of now defunct SANGAM Institute.
Is he speaking in favour of now sidelined King Gyanendra? Perhaps yes!
Says further the Nepali researcher that “the result is obvious that those who were ‘craned’ to power virtually could not exercise anything, rather Nepal is in the verge to collapse as a nation-state”.
He then warns India by stating, in his own words, “The implication of Nepal’s failure will ultimately have a serious consequence to India herself as Nepal borders the most populous states of India-Uttar Pradesh and Bihar”
Straight warning that it is.
As if this were not enough, Dr. Adhikari in a direct manner further sends chilling waves in the vertebral columns of the Indian ruling elites wherein he states that “If Nepali situation goes out of hand and the country disintegrates on ethnic lines, its first impact would be on Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as similar politico-economic and social dynamism exist there”.
Some more disastrous consequences for India Dr. Adhikari predicts in case Nepal becomes unstable for this or that reason.
He says, (sic) “Those who have been using the cause of Dalits and poor in Nepal to destabilise the country will see a green pasture in both the populous states in India once Nepal succumbs”.
How the Indian ruling elite take Dr. Adhikari's rough and tough remarks will have to be watched.
