Nepal Communists disturbing national harmony: Poudel

Better late than never, Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel of Nepali Congress seems to have understood the real face of Nepali communists, critics guess.

According to him, the communists are the prime reason for growing animosity between various communities in the country. He made this million dollar remark while addressing a program in Biratchowk of Morang District, March 31, 2012.

“The Nepali Communists want to institute a federal order based on caste and religion”, he said and added, “They have been hurting the national harmony. This is their double standard.” 

“The Nepali congress is in favour of a constitution with federal order but not federalism based on caste and religion”, he decalred the NC stance of federal order in Nepal.

He also made it clear to the attending mass that though there is the likelihood of early conclusion of peace process but since Chiarman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was not entirely trustworthy political figure there was not enough reason to be optimistic.

“The communists are experts in hatching conspiracies and lying. The political deadlock is nearing an end but as Chairman Dahal’s words and deeds do not entirely match, we need to keep on pressurizing him”.

The forgotten NC leader Mahesh Acharya, an elevated baby of late Koirala, also spoke at the program.
