Telegraph Nepal

Upon return from India, clarified Chairman Jhalnath Khanal of United Marxist Leninist Party at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, March 30, 2011, “I had gone there for health check-up.”

“I had no political meetings there,” he also said.

In a bizarre response to a journalists’ query he said, “We should find solutions to the national ailment locally not abroad.”

To recall, Khanal was in New Delhi during the 2005-6 movement. He stayed there for more than three months.  Whether it was with TA/DA or not is not known.

“I and my party, we believe that we should seek solutions to the present political ailment inside the country”.

Eruption of nationalism-sentiment.

“I have been advised by medical practitioners not to do physical works yet I will be entirely focused on peace and constitution related tasks”, self praised Khanal.

Khanal, during his eight days stay in India had also visited the city of Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan.

Khanal was invited to address the convocation ceremony of one of the private universities in Jodhpur. Whether he was awarded with Dr. of Literature title or not remains a secret yet.

The UML has not spoken on it so far.
