Nepal’s former King Gyanendra Shah who is currently in a much publicized five days long ‘religious trip’ to the far-western region of the country paid homage at Siddhababa Temple in Mahendranagar in the district of Kanchanpur, March 30, 2012.
“After reciting verses of Rudri at the temple, the former King straight headed to a hotel wherein he first had a bowl full of Chicken Soup and ordered a Gravy Chicken meal for lunch”, reports citing eyewitness has it.
The former King drove himself from Dhangadhi to Mahendranagar, it is also reported.
He had arrived in Mahendranagar at around noon.
“Though the former King had a bowl full of Chicken soup, he only half-ate the Gravy Chicken meal at the hotel”, confirm reports adding, “Later he ordered a locally made Meetha pan (betel leaf with added Sugar).”

“The former King himself entered at the Hotel kitchen and directed the chef to prepare food of his liking,” reports Souyra Daily, March 31, 2012.
