Nepal CA term can be extended if emergency declared: Thapa

Advocate Sambhu Thapa- a presumed former royalist turned ‘communist with democratic bend’ who was himself involved in the drafting of interim constitution that had sketched the provision for eliminating the institution of Nepal’s Hindu monarchy, is of the view that legislative and executive body can once again extend the term of the ‘money spinning constituent assembly’ through activating the “emergency” provisions stipulated in the interim constitution.

To recall, Mr. Thapa had contested the CA election representing the United Marxist Leninist Party but failed to win it. So Sad!

Had Thapa won the election, perhaps the fate of CA would have been different, critics claim.

Mr. Thapa forwarded the million dollar suggestion talking to the media and warned, “It will, however, tantamount to a suicidal move and can be taken as a criminal act.”

Thapa is thus suggesting the present day leaders to take on to the suicidal course.

Chief whip Laxman Ghimire of Nepali Congress is also not very happy with the final decision of the Supreme Court. He will certainly miss the monthly salary and perks in the absence of CA.

It is the prerogative of the parliament to extend the CA term. In the same line the parliament had been extending its term. The SC decision has capped all possibilities of term extension on legal terms. The decision has barred the parliament to once again extend the term. Nevertheless, the Nepali Congress is a party that strongly advocates rule of law thus we welcome the SC decision.

The Chief Whip Bhim Acharya of United Marxist Leninist also talks on the same line.

It is the prerogative of the parliament to extend the CA term. But, there is no alternative to draft the constitution within the stipulated deadline.

Dev Gurung who represents the Unified Maoists hardliner panel and is also the party chief whip is of the view that the political parties should immediately settle peace process related disputes and shorten the Constitution drafting process to promulgate the constitution within the available time frame.

Panic spreading like a wildfire. This much is visible.

  • If decentrilization of power implement the strictly there is no need any federalism. But people need peace and security and develop their region and improve the peoples' situation. That is why more investment and more benefit from only getting from decentrilization power but federalism could benefit more to political leaders. I implementation phases strictly run to that system people get more benefit but New Nepal politicians are more concern their petty interest and so on. who obligue to maintain the peace and security and implement strictly the decentrilization of power in small Himalaya country like Nepal?

Work for the benefit of nepalese not these dakas and looteras non performer but salary seekers from public money mass. Comon solicitor advocate or okil or lawyer give some creative advise men not this sort of rubbish shit destructive suggestion to these narkas....
