Chairman Jhalnath Khanal of United Marxist Leninist party who headed to New Delhi for the treatment of his prostate illness was located in Jodhpur of Rajasthan- the colourful state of India, late evening on Friday March 23, 2012.
Hilarious it may be but the fact is that Chairman Khanal is attending the first convocation ceremony of one of the private universities of Rajasthan in Jodhpur National University of Jodhpur as the chief guest.
On what ground had the university invited Khanal as the chief guest is not only mysterious but also puzzling one, claim critics of the sort of Devi Prasad who had slapped Khanal in Ithari, Sunsari some sixteen months back, if one were to recall.
He will be addressing the convocation ceremony today.
Khanal will perhaps dwell on the achievements made by Nepal after the successful completion of 12 Point Noida revolution.
May be he will be honoured with Honorary Doctor of Literature award.
Yet, serious critics try to link Khanal’s sudden trip to Jodhpur with frequent visits of Nepal former King Gyanendra Shah to second largest city in the state of Rajasthan where the former Royals share their familial ties.
Could this event be linked?
In his last trip to India, the former King had visited Jodhpur and had also met with the Indian queen while loitering around Delhi.
Why Khanal’s Jodhpur trip was kept a guarded secret by the United Marxist Leninist Party has complicated the matter even further, also add critics.
Something is being cooked up in New Delhi by Nepal’s de facto administrators.
