Mr. Nepal laments, claims Koirala’s follies encouraged Maoists

Telegraph Nepal

The Constituent Assembly election defeated senior United Marxist Leninist Leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has once again regretted the decision to hold constituent assembly elections while allowing Maoist to retain their weapons and militias.

But wasn’t he himself in NOIDA to bring in the Maoists under Indian instructions?

He had then, being in Delhi and under coercion, insulted China, if one were to recall.

Mr. Nepal repented addressing a program in Pokhara of Kaski District, March 22, 2012.

Delayed repentance has no meaning in political science.

“The decision to hold election while the Maoists were equipped with weapons and militia was a wrong move,” claimed Nepal.

To recall, Unified Maoists’ Party Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal had earlier claimed that Late Girija Prasad Koirala had advised him to retain Militia and Weapon because ‘Gyanendra’s Army’ was not at all trustworthy. (Read Five questions-Daman Nath Dhungana’s revelations).

“He had advised us to keep the PLA in cantonments across the country as a deterrent to the Nepal Army,” Dahal had claimed.

The same so called deterrent has now become an albatross for the NOIDA signatories.

In an exclusive interview with a weekly magazine, Mr. Nepal had also claimed that due to Koirala’s excessive Maoist bend other parties had been marginalized.

Mr. Nepal is mistaken. It was not Koirala’s love and honour for Maoists, but he acted as per the Indian instructions verbatim because the latter had to “challenge” the King through Koirala-Maoists combine as suggested by Daman Nath Dhungana.  Late Koirala was just a pawn. ( Peace be upon him).

In Pokhara, continued Nepal, “Another mistake was to allow them to lead the government while they had their weapons with them intact.”

“We will not repeat the past mistakes,” he said and added, “We can draft the constitution on time only if we all continue pressurize the Maoist. Else constitution is simply impossible.”

Disgusting remarks.

  • Intention of calling Maoist was not sincere and holding election was not well intended. Now everybody should face facts and move ahead and take action to bring long term peace in the country. It will not be possible by embarracing the Maoists.Give them their rightful place and due respect to their "BHAWNA"
