Nepal Maoists in-house feud intensifies, Baidya panel asks PM to quit

Telegraph Nepal

With Mohan Baidya Kiran panel of the Unified Maoists Party the other day publicly declaring that it will organize ‘expose campaign’ against corrupt practices of party’s establishment led by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and anti-national activities of the incumbent government led by party vice chairman Baburam Bhattarai, both Dahal and Bhattarai panels have come to the conclusion to devise strategies to outsmart the Baidya panel.

Chairman Dahal, Vice Chairman Bhattarai and another ailing vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha met at Prime Minister Bhattarai’s residence early hours on Sunday March 18, 2012 to discuss the direct threat posed by Baidya Panel.

The three leaders also pondered over fresh assertion of Baidya panel to derail Baburam Bhattarai’s government at any cost.

“In the meeting that lasted for over an hour, the three leaders finally agreed to call a joint meeting of their panels on Monday,” reports quote sources as saying.

“We will soon declare our own ‘expose campaign’ against the Baidya panel”, reports further quote Prime Minister’s advisor Devendra Poudel ‘Sunil’ as saying.

“We will try to convince them else we will counter them,” threatened Sunil.

In the meantime, senior Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ told media in Janakpur that he had no personal enmity as such against Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.

However, Baidya also declared that since the government led by Baburam is taking one after another anti-national decisions, the government must be sidelined for good.

“Let me make you very clear that I have no desire whatsoever to become the Prime Minister of this country,” replied Baidya when asked by scribes if he was trying to derail Bhattarai government with the sole intention of becoming the Prime Minister of the country.

Here is a flash: The Dahal-Bhatarai-Shrestha secret meet is curreently going inside Summit Hotel, Kupandone. ( Beginning 8 AM).
