Nepal Maoist’s real fight begins, PM Bhattarai’s days numbered

Telegraph Nepal

The faction led by Senior Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ of the Unified Maoists Party organized a press meet at Hotel Radisson in Kathmandu, March 17, 2012.

Claim critics, preference of the hardliner panel of the so-called party of proletariats to hold the press meet at one of the five star hotels was quite surprising.

The party secretary C.P. Gajurel addressed the attending journalists where leaders of the likes of Dev Gurung, Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ and Ms. Pampha Bhusal were also present.

The hardliner panel declared right there that it will force the government to resign within a week time.

He claimed, “This government is anti-national and anti-people, it does not have the right to continue for more than a week. All anti-nationals deals it has reached with India must be scrapped.”

Gajurel better late than never realised as to why the South Block preferred JNU graduate as Nepal Prime Minister.

“Our struggle will not end until the government tendered resignation”, he said and added, “We will use Sadak (Street), Sadan (Parliament) and Party against the government.”

Interesting weeks ahead, it appears.

“We still remember our chairman making the commitment to get the Prime Minister’s resignation. A month has already passed but Baburam ji is still in the government. Since the chairman failed to force PM to resign, we preferred to take to the streets”.

Poor Gajurel doesn’t understand that his party chairman is a top class expert in playing double.

“We will also coordinate with the Nepali Congress and UML to derail this government”, Gajurel told.

Gajurel also made it clear that his likeminded people in the party do not want to split the party.

Why to split a party that is already a fractured one?
