Nepal PM ‘mantra’ to women folks, pounce upon male partners

Telegraph Nepal

Nepal’s “highly qualified” Prime Minister Baburam advised at a program Friday March 16, 2012, attended mostly by privileged women activists of the country, to hit back at their husbands if they treat them in a barbaric manner.

“The husbands who do not behave in a proper manner can be kicked”, said the Prime Minister and continued, “I took to politics mainly to liberate Nepali women who have been a part of age-old discrimination in our Nepali society.”

“Having said this I might be criticized for making irresponsible remark but revolutions do not succeed without taking revolutionary steps”, he also said.

Bhattarai’s wife Hisila and daughter Manushi were also present at the program.

Encouraging family dispute. Perhaps our well-behaved Prime Minister too receives similar treatments from his revolutionary wife Hisila Yami-Bhattarai. Hisila must double her efforts beginning today.

“Tan Bhanne Sriman Lai Tan Bhannus, Timi Bhanne Lai Timi Bhannus Ra Tapai Bhanne Lai Tapai”, he said and added, “You could eventually face further violence. You could also hit back. This will make no difference.”

The condensed version of People’s War. Had Marx, Lenin or even Mao been alive, they would have compared their ideologies with this fresh one enunciated by JNU Bhattarai.

Dangerous teaching indeed. Sure to increase family scuffles in the society.

When the Prime Minister was making these erratic remarks, Hisila was smiling and the attendants gave him round of applause.

Horrible days for husbands in the pipeline.

The Prime Minister did not advise the attendants to take legal actions.

The Nepali society under the able leadership of the Unified Maoists Party is indeed changing yet there is no space for rule of law, critics comment.

Grand revolution will begin right from one’s own home now, analysts presume.

Tighten your belts the newlywed ones.
