Straight Nay to Federal order in Nepal: NC leader Deuba

Telegraph Nepal

The Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has made yet another controversial remark.

Deuba just the other day had claimed that at best the 1990 constitution could be revived if parties fail to draft the new constitution.

Here is his fresh salvo against federal order.

“The country will not at all accept the federal order under any circumstances,” he claimed while talking to a select group of scribes at his personal posh residence in Kathmandu, March 15, 2012.

“Even Chairman Prachanda of Unified Maoists’ Party who claims himself to the founder of the federal in Nepal is in favour of an indivisible Chitwan district”, he said and added, “If Chitwan cannot be divided how is the federal order possible in the country.” Intelligent Deuba questioned!

“Lately some Maoists leaders have begun putting their weight behind anindivisible Syangja, Palpa, Nawalparasi, far western region and Karnali”, he said.

“Better Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam should publicly accept that ethnicity based federalism is not as well acceptable to them”, he suggested.

“Except republican, federal and secular order, all other systems are based on the constitution of 1990”, the former prime minster also claimed.

Subtle favour of 1990 constitution once again. People’s War, taken as a Lendhup War, is likely to die a premature death.
