The Unified Maoists’ Party senior leader Dev Gurung has made it clear than until Prime Minister Baburam resigns the political deadlock will continue.
“To ensure parties to abide by past agreements and hold consensus, Prime Minister’s resignation has become necessary and urgent”, he said while addressing a program in Bhaktapur, March 15, 2012.
He was also of the view that the parties should sign yet another agreement to ensure timely conclusion of peace and constitutional process.
For God sake no more agreements please. The 12 point was enough to damage Nepal.
Gurung who belongs to the hardliner faction of the party led by Comrade Mohan Baidya-Pokhrel, held the Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist Party responsible for the delay in constitution drafting.
Blame shifting game in full swing.
“Our party has been dumping its chartered policies one by one for having consensus among the parties, yet the NC and UML have been rigid in their stances which have obstructed the process of peace and constitution drafting”.
“The Constituent Assembly is the only alternative to constitution drafting”, he concluded.
The CA body houses some 601 while elephants-the real Nepali burdens.
