Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has once again defended Nepal’s last King Gyanendra Shah.
Eruption of love and honour all of a sudden?
Nepal- a former staunch royalist is also of the belief that the former King may not have been conspiring to obstruct institutionalization processes of the new order now in place.
However, also claimed Nepal the former king might have been internally praying for the return of monarchy. Subtle humour.
He made these gestures at an interaction program in Kathmandu, Monday March 12, 2012.
Mr. Nepal, it seems have begun reading minds of the people. May have been the “instructions” from above.
As a normal citizen of the country, opined Nepal, the former king should not be obstructed from making comments and travelling. He also claimed that the revival of constitution of 1990 and return of monarchy is an unlikely proposition.
“The Prime Minister is unnecessarily suspecting the former king. He should be allowed to speak.”
He then began criticizing the Unified Maoists’ Party.
“The Maoists have been using the PLA as their tool to grab power and money”, he commented and added, “They have been looting the state properties. They should be penalized for misusing the state coffers.”
