Widely perceived as a half-Maoist-half UML leader, Bam Dev Gautam came down heavily upon the Unified Maoists’ Party surprisingly while addressing a program in Melamchi of Sindhuphalchowk, March 10, 2012.
“The basic foundation of the national unity government should be Prime Minister Baburam’s resignation because he is leading one of the most corrupt governments ever”, he said and added, peace and constitution is impossible until Baburam is seated in the PM’s chair.
“The Unified Maoists Party is primarily responsible for peace and constitutional process delay. Baburam should tender his resignation immediately to complete the remaining tasks.”
“The Maoists on the one hand continue to obstruct peace process and the Nepali Congress on the other lengthen to fight for ‘old and torn’ system of parliamentary democracy. Both the parties will fail in the long run,” also held Gautam.
He nevertheless, suggested parties to unite to complete the peace and constitution processes.
Mr. Gautam is the one who first met “ferocious” Prachanda in Rolpa jungles early February 2006 and signed a six point deal which was later handed over to the South Block-RAW mandarins who expanded and extended the same to the most infamous 12 point agreement. Obviously, the Indian regime manipulated the 12 point pencil draft in HINDI and did away with the then Royal institution.
Late Koirala and his “team” had rushed to Delhi to sign the 12 point agreement.
