Draft the Charter or better resign en masse: Nepal VP Jha

Telegraph Nepal

Nepal’s Vice President, Permananda Jha, is in pains.

His pains are manifold. Analysts have abundant sympathies.

His pains are also associated with several confusions and thus what could be guessed is that he is not at all happy with the performances of the present day Nepali leaders who have also not stipulated as to what should be his role as the Vice President of the Country.

Inner outbursts.

“No one comes to see me and seek suggestions nor I am in that position to award them with the wise counsels”, says a highly annoyed VP Jha.

Appears that the pains that he is in his possession now have begun to sting him more.

Says Jha, “I am in sheer confusion as to whether the parties could draft the new constitution on time or not” and adds with a bit of annoyance, “ None of the parties have so far asked me as to where the constitution drafting process have reached and remains in which stage at the moment”?

He then pounces upon the political parties.

“If you can’t draft the constitution then it would be far better if you all resign”, suggests Jha.

According to Jha, “when the CA body approaches its expiry date, the political parties come into action and begin consultations at the last minute which needs now a correction”.

Yet he opines that the “new constitution must be a complete one...an incomplete constitution can’t sort out the country’s issues and problems”, Jha explains

We need a constitution that guarantees federal, republican and democratic order”, concluded VP Jha.

Jha though has made poignant remarks but yet he is sure to land in controversy for his aggressive comments made against the political parties.

VP Jha made these observations while talking to the reporter of the Sourya daily dated March 8, 2012.

  • Why do we need a vice president? So we have a president as the head of the country and Prime Minister as the head of the government. But what is the vice Presidents job? And I guess that fat bastard is the Deputy PM. Then we have 601 clowns and countless in the cabinet and then the numerous representatives from all the different political parties and their subsidiaries in the youth organizations. I think we have too many people involved in politics. Everyone should resign and let the army take over. We need to simplify our political system. We also need to throw some of these traitors away from Nepal. Let's start with this fool that wanted to take the oath of office in Foreign language and in a foreign attire.
