Untimely Court decision against Gupta: Nepal VP Jha

Telegraph Nepal

Nepal’s first vice president Parmananda Jha has expressed his serious dissatisfaction over the Supreme Court verdict to handcuff sitting information and communication minister and Chairman Jayprakash Prasad Gupta of Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF)-Ganatantrik on corruption charges.

Gupta- a Girija Prasad Koirala henchman was put on jail for amassing wealth in an illegal manner.

Jha, a former justice was born in Jhanjharpur of Dharbhanga District, Indian State of Bihar. Jha himself during his career has faced several charges for having committed judicial irregularities.

Jha questioning the timing of the SC verdict at Biratnagar Airport, February 29, 2012, said, “The case was pending for a decade. The decision could have been made slightly ahead or further delayed.”

“The decision could ignite fire during the month of drought,” he warned and hinted possible violence against the court decision.

Upendra Yadav of original MJF had claimed the other day that the issue is not at all linked to any of the Madhesi agenda. He is a corrupt thus serving imprisonment, Upendra Yadav so claimed.

A former judicial authority making such dangerous remarks?
