If there is a happiest politician in Nepal at present then it must be Chairman Upendra Yadav, the pioneer of the original Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum.
Yadav is happy because his prime detractor who had once threatened to wreck his entire political career is now locked up in jail.
Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta- a Girija Prasad Koirala henchman was put on jail for amassing wealth in an illegal manner. The Supreme Court made this decision, February 21, 2012.
Some daily newspapers that had some sort of business relationship with Gupta in the past have been in a surprising manner providing sufficient space to his views through the publication of his interviews. Gupta labelled as corrupt by the Supreme Court of Nepal is presenting himself as a sacrosanct person in his views.
Talking to an online magazine Yadav claimed that Gupta has been jailed not because he is a Madhesi but for his corrupt practices.
“The issue is not at all linked to any of Madhesi agenda. He is a corrupt thus serving imprisonment,” claimed a beaming Yadav.
“Corrupts are corrupts. They do not belong to a community, an ethnic or even a religious group”, said Yadav.
“When a corrupt is imprisoned who does not get happy,” he claimed.
