Nepal should have its own model not of Bihar: Chairman Khanal

The UML Chairman Jhal Nath Khanal has hinted that if the Nepali Congress prepares a congenial political atmosphere and builds consensus among parties then his party would not mind if the NC forms the next government under its own command.

“If the NC takes up the policy of embracing all political parties then a government under NC command is possible”, so said Khanal, February 18, 2012, while addressing his party cadres in Sindhupalchowk district.

Khanal from the same platform made a juicy comment wherein he stated that “the present government which was based in a weak foundation cannot be allowed to take the shape of a national government”.

Residents of Ilam, we have been told, have the expertise in cutting a joke at others. Khanal hails from Ilam district.

According to UML Chairman Khanal, the draft of the constitution would be possible only if the ongoing peace process proceeded abiding by the seven point agreement.

He also warned that the country may have to face a political disaster if the constitution could not be drafted on the stipulated time frame.

However, Khanal did not reveal as to where from this disaster will approach this nation and who will lead such an upheaval?

If it is so then the entire responsibility will have to be shouldered by the Maoists party alone, Khanal added.

The country may disintegrate if the federal order was adopted for the country as per the Maoists consideration which was based on community lines.

He also cut a joke at Nepal PM Bhattarai and said that Nepal should have its own unique model for development instead of copying the Bihar model.

“The Prachanda-Path is nothing but a complicated coil of perverted ideas”, Khanal thus summed up his views, the Rajdhani daily dated February 19, 2012, writes.
