India’s one of the poorest and under-privileged states of Bihar has now become Nepal’s new role model for socio-economic development. This is what Nepal’s India trained Prime Minister Baburam believes.
In his inaugural address as the chief guest of Global Bihar Summit held in the state capital Patna, Baburam said, “We are not just close neighbours; nature has forced us to work together in harmony.”
Marxism fused with philosophy. Must have been a lesson from JNU lecture series.
Notably some four dozen journalists were part of Baburam’s Bihar “free” junket. Mercifully, the expense was borne by the Bihar government. No surprise Nepal’s national level dailies have been pumping articles praising Bihar’s “astounding” development as they praised Sikkim in the past. Sikkim, to recall was annexed by India in the year 1975.
Sikkim too could become a role model for Nepal time permitting.
Whether the articles Nepali media have been publishing because they are highly impressed by Bihar’s development or it is “under table” envelope is very difficult to understand, claim observers.
Be that as it may, said the PM again, “I have been told by many who return from Bihar that the progress it has been able to make in the fields of infrastructure development, public security is tremendous.”
He had all praise for Bihar’s Chief minister Nitish Kumar.
“It is heartening to note that under the visionary leadership of Nitish Kumar, Bihar is taking rapid strides not just in economic sectors but in terms of almost all human development indicators. Your state today ranks as one of the fastest growing states in the Indian union,” the PM said.
Baburam also declined to accept that Nepal was becoming increasingly unstable.
“It takes time for things to get settled after the tempest. We are undergoing a similar process,” he also claimed.
Khali Sisi Purana Kagaz...Purana Bhanda Satiye...Phalam Dijiye...
Bihar has developed, analysts claim, because the poor population have been exported to Nepal. This is the crude reality.
All the best to Bihar.
