Nepal Minister Gupta adamant, claims he made split remarks

Telegraph Nepal

With Supreme Court final hearing on corruption charges against former Girija Prasad Koirala henchman turned Madhesi messiah Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta approaching, he has begun showing clear signs of deep frustration. Fear of imprisonment in Pahadiya Jails!

All Girija men will have Gupta fate eventually!

The apex court will provide its verdict on 21 February, 2012, it is expected.

Will Gupta declare armed revolt in Madhesh prior 21st February, analysts wait eagerly.

During his several stints as minister it is widely believed that Gupta has amassed wealth to the tune of astronomical amounts.

A highly frustrated Gupta who happens to be the information and communication minister of this ill fated country wrote in a letter that he personally delivered to President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav February 16, 2012, stating “I had indeed in a clear cut manner said that Madhesh could finally get totally detached from Kathmandu.”

Gutpa is only trying to shield himself from the approaching Court threat.  But the Court will definitely listen to his own explanations.

Gupta’s irritation has visibly increased after a former Minister has been arrested in abduction charges and some high ranking police officials facing corruption charges too have been imprisoned.

Imprisonment spree.

He writes further in the letter to the president, “Madhesi mindset hints towards approaching violent revolt. Madhesi people have been showing signs of a rebellion, if the situation continues; Madhesh could get detached from mainland Nepal. The Madhesi people will opt for final revolt to get their demands met with.”

“The Madhesi people are not at all satisfied with any of the state organs. The Judiciary, Human Rights Commission and the election commission have shown biased behaviour towards the Madhesi population.”

Grand allegations.

The letter has come in response to concerns expressed by President Yadav in his interaction with the Prime Minister and leader of other political parties towards Gupta’s recent utterances made while talking to a select group of journalists led perhaps by Rishi Dhamala-the pride of Republican Nepal.

“It will hardly take two months or slightly more than that for Madhesh to get totally detached from the state”, Gupta had said the other day talking to journalists.

  • Is this guy out of his mind.. First Nepal is so small, and he wants to split it? What does he want? To be the king of Kanchan ga bi sa? OKay, first madesh will split, followed by districts within madhesh, and then what villages, and elakas and go back to tribal age. That's his vision. First of all he's a corrupt person indited for looting millions from national treasury.. why are people even listening to him?
