Krishna Prasad Sitaula of the New Delhi sponsored 12 point agreement negative fame has said that the agenda of the Republican order for the country was first initiated by the Nepali Congress when Comrade Prachanda ( Pushpa kamal Dahal) was not even born. (Read Five Questions: Dr. Bhimarjun Acharya).
“The NC had already practiced this Order around 1950s by sidelining the then King”, Sitaula beamingly recalled.
Observers say that not only Prachanda, Sitaula himself had not landed in this earth of which he is, as his NC party colleagues take him, a burden.
By the way, Sitaula began his political career with the UML and then jumped to the Nepali Congress. His ‘alien’ connections remain no longer a secret among the high placed sources.
“Prachanda’s unilateral clamour cannot make the idea of the republican order as to have been his party’s agenda”, Sitaula reminded Prachanda.
By the way, Sitaula who is believed to be an India man had remained instrumental in bringing in the NOIDA residing Maoists to Nepal’s mainstream politics.
Dr. Shekhar Koirala indeed had extended his full and unconditional support to Sitaula while the Maoists were to land Kathmandu straight from NOIDA, New Delhi under the pretext of what is called an imposed “peace agreement”.
This perhaps explains the Maoists-Sitaula-Koirala nexus.
A highly emotional Sitaula then in the process exposed himself and questioned, “Who had lifted the Maoists from the Jungles in a Chopper and brought them to Baluatar”?
To recall, Sitaula was the “made” Home Minister in Girija’s Cabinet who, as is being talked, enjoyed then the Indian blessing more so from the RAW quarters.
Sitaula though admitted that after the CA polls, Prachanda has estimated his personality as to have gone up but hastened to add that “his personal calculations were wrong”.
Sharing the same platform, NC Central Comittee member Badri Pandey lamented that today’s NC problems were the creation of the Congress itself. Sitaula practiced law in Dhankuta prior to joining Congress. Sitaula hails from Jhapa distrcit.
Sitaula made these observations, Tuesday, February 14, 2012, while addressing a NC gathering in Kavre district.
