Nepal PM taken to task, first insult from Govt officials claims media

Telegraph Nepal

Once the flamboyant Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was asked by an Indian reporter as to how he takes the Indian bureaucracy?

Gandhi replied, “The Indian bureaucracy is the best friend and equally a dangerous enemy of the government”.

P. C. Alexander during a trip to Kathmandu had told this to a small gathering of the Nepali intellectuals some years back.

Back home, the India indoctrinated Nepal Prime Minister Babu Ram Bhattarai has received the first slap from the Nepal’s bureaucratic officials and that too at his official secretariat, Wednesday February 15, 2012.

Must have been an exciting but humiliating affair.

Interestingly, the Trade Unions belonging to various political parties, including the Maoists one as well, had gone to see the Prime Minister wherein they collectively appealed Bhattarai not to proceed with the “illegal transfer” of the government officials.

A highly charged Bhattarai warned the visiting government officials associated with the Trade Unions not to “play politics” or else will have to face the music.

The officials pat challenged Prime Minister by stating that “if you have the courage then take penal against us all”.

Look how the heated but yet juicy conversation went on this Wednesday.

Officials: Honourable Prime Minister! Cancel the illegal transfer of the officials.

PM: Well, some transfers could be corrected.

Officials: No! The entire transfer orders need to be corrected. We will not settle for less.

PM: Do you want to play politics being the officials of the government? If you want to join politics then tender your resignation and jump into politics. How you could dare to talk straight with the country’s Prime Minister in such a manner?

Officials: We will see your masculinity if you could dare to take penal actions against us! We will see to it.

PM: I carried weapons. I will not get afraid from your threats.

Officials: When did you carry the weapons? The weapons were at best carried by the innocent people.

This perhaps explains the rest. PM must have got the point. Poor Baburam was insulted to the hilt.

Present on the occasion, during the two-way heated debate, were, Chief Secretary Madhav Ghimire, Secretary Tilak Ram Sharma, Secretary Lila Mani Poudel and minister Ram Kumar Yadav.

Isn’t this sad event sufficient enough to stimulate Babu Ram to resign from his current post?

Beginning of the beginning.

  • The only weapon this evil architect ever carried perhaps was the pen that signed the death sentence to thousands of Nepali citizens. He is a murderer and He lets innocent citizens do his fighting. He is just a pathetic eunuch that is not capable of anything without the Indian's help. He ought to be charges with treason, genocide and cowardice.
