Nepal PM: Corruption has crossed tolerable limits

Telegraph Nepal

The Prime Minister of the allegedly ‘most corrupt government ever recorded ’ Baburam has claimed that the country’s situation has become such that no one could be taken trustworthy.

What about Hisila-the revolutionary?

“Ministers are to be found in prisons, high ranking police officials are facing corruption charges and the parliamentarians are facing abduction charges”, claimed the Prime Minister addressing a program in Simra of Bara district, February 14, 2012.

He continued, “No one could be taken as trustworthy.”

But isn’t that he has collected all these cocktail brands in his cabinet?

Corruption has crossed all the possible tolerable limits, he said and continued, I am trying my best to control the rampant corruption.

He must begin from his own house first then, analysts opine.

The Prime Minister also accepted that some ministers in his own cabinet and some high ranking government officials are involved in corruption.

Why not penal actions then?

In the course of his “thought provoking” speech Baburam claimed that within a month period all tasks related to peace process will be completed.  “I firmly believe that political parties will be successful in removing all obstacles in the peace process.”

Hoping against hope.

He also made it clear that he will not resign until peace and constitutional process ends.

Baburam was also of the opinion that in the present world order revolutionary form of governance as articulated by the communists is impossible to establish.

Luxury now counts.

  • @manu. Absolutely right. BRB should punish himself and his parties first. He should whip all his party members, then whip himself and then lock themselves up in a cell and throw away the key. He should however order the rest of the politicians to be investigated and whipped and locked away before he locks himself. As a special order, he can state that the investigation start with our brightest thief/politician Sujata.

  • In your list your own party must be in number one in corruption. Punish yourselves first.
