The cabinet decision to legalize the land transaction carried out by ‘peoples’ government’ during the so-called peoples’ revolt led by the then terrorist declared Maoists Party, according to Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa of Rastriya Janashakti Party is the ‘Unified Maoists’ ploy to disrupt the peace process’.
Old hand speaks.
The octogenarian leader who is considered as India’s most trusted partner in Nepali politics had recently returned from New Delhi after performing a medical treatment.
New Delhi has remained historically a panacea for all the Nepali aliments, fake or real.
Mr. Thapa talked to the journalists at the Biratnagar Airport, January 28, 2012.
Biratnagar is the home town of senior Thapa.
“They have been obstructing the peace process deliberately,” alleged a talented Thapa.
“There is no other way than the Maoists’ government revoking the decision”, he said and added, “The decision to legalize the land transaction is not at all a lasting decision. It has been made to obstruct the peace process and that too intentionally.”
If Thapa says so then it must be true, critics conclude. Thapa generally speaks the Indian mind, Nepali analysts presume so.
