A multitude of Nepali Congress central committee members have alleged that the Maoists party wish to leave the peace process in limbo by summarily ignoring the past agreements made in consensus with other parties.
“The Maoists prefer now to leave the peace process in the lurch”, said the bunch of NC leaders in Rupandehi district, January 20, 2012.
They also summed up that the Maoists party-the party of the former rebels, have all along been creating terror and diverting the attention of the people right after they signed the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, CPA, coming down to the fresh signing of the seven point agreement.
Late Girija had, to recall, brought the Nepal Maoists from NOIDA, New Delhi, and now the party is feeling the brunt.
Said Gagan Thapa-the flamboyant NC youth leader “Maoists wish to abandon the peace process by deviating from the past agreements which the party signed with other parties in consensus”.
“The party’s idea is to capture the state”, opined Thapa.
Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal
Thapa also blamed the Maoists for having a preference to quit the peace process and drafting the new constitution by shifting the blame onto the head of the Nepali Congress party.
Thapa also claimed that the UML was playing double in the entire political game.
Thapa said in conclusion that the “Maoists were creating illusion in the urban areas while keeping the people in terror in the rural areas of the country”.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Bal Krishna Khad, Dr. Minendra Rijal. Dr. Prakash Saran Mahat.
