China must feel Nepali pains or else it would be too late

Finally Nepal PM Oli is to visit Beijing at the cordial relations of his counterpart and let’s hope that during the visit, PM Oli leaves no stones unturned in expanding Nepal-China bilateral ties. China is willing to help Nepal, as far as we understand, however, some Indian so called academicians or even say diplomats of late have been sending warning signals to Nepal not to get “tempted” while expanding bilateral ties with Nepal’s northern neighbor. Why these newly born fake diplomats claim so or even warn is understandable in that India would never wish to see Nepal going closer to China, however, the underlying  fact is that enhancing relations with China at times of crisis, which is not yet over thanks Indian courtesy, should not and could not be taken as entering into the fold of China. If it is so, as per the claims of the pseudo diplomats then why China should not warn Nepal in the same tone not to become close to India? Can they say so? Never. And thus any criticism made by someone here or there or even near and far should not discourage PM Oli from strengthening ties with China which is there from the time of the honorable Chairman Mao and Deng.

China understands better on how to deal with its smaller neighbors and let’s leave it up to the Chinese high officials to determine as to what extent should be desirable to support Nepal so that India, a close neighbor unfortunately, doesn’t get angry as Nepali connections with India are varied and complicated also.

India must understand that China will never think to gulp Nepal under the pretext of helping the latter however, and by the same token India should encourage Nepal and China both to come closer so that time permitting these two neighbors could be of some support to India at the international forums if and when India is in crisis.

All said and done, PM Oli must do whatever he can this time while being in Beijing so that our ancient relations gets a new stamina to maintain the regional stability which will of course be beneficial to India in the long run.

Creating fissures in between China and Nepal will do more harm than good to India for a variety of reasons more so when India and China both have been in good relations at the moment.

Indian academicians are thus advised to to scare Nepal and China by writing foul articles which only creates confusion and more so such articles will send wrong signals to China that a section in India still hates China. This must discontinue which will be in the larger interest of India and the entire region.  China knows better on how to deal with pseudo enemies. The message is loud and clear.

Professor Surendra KC says that the Indian diplomats in writing so express the Indian taste which is to keep Nepal in its fold for ever.

Now let’s wait for Chinese benevolence to be exhibited towards Nepal which is suffering the most.
