The somewhat aggressive former Maoist leader, a trusted and tested comrade-in-arms of Comrade Prachanda aka Pushpa Kamal Dahal of the NOIDA days, has floated a new idea in order to swell the national exchequer.
He demands the return of the monthly salaries from those redundant CA members who gulped the money, like ‘Wah! Taz Tea’, for four years without accomplishing their assigned tasks. Nepal has reasons thus to forward its claims for the Guinness book of world records. The Guinness body may well listen to if and when the 12 point Nepal government approached. The likelihood remains.
One has to take ideas because those are free. It is altogether a different matter as to how much those ideas could sell in the frustrated political market that prevails at the moment.
The frustration is on all the possible sides of the torn Nepali society. The people are simply annoyed looking upon the sudden death of the Nepal’s money spinning machine, the CA body, which consumed some ten billion rupees ( under table amount and passport sale excluded) yet could not deliver a new constitution. The people’s irritation appears more than doubly inclined towards the staggering amount of money that the CA body and the blood suckers sucked in the name of drafting of a new Charter than the new constitution for them that had been so beamingly and eloquently promised while ushering into a political change by some old day’s marionettes.
However, the said change really brought any substantial changes in the country or not could be a matter of intense debate among those who championed for this change, however, it did bring in some dramatic changes in the very life styles of those foot path and jungle dwellers, a few indeed, who have had even not two rupees in their possession to stitch their rubber slippers, we have been told, until some time back. Change was for some definitely which they used to the hilt albeit the nation and its population paid the price and we presume that the cost since is too high thus the financial shock both to the national coffer and to the minds of the people will remain for longer period of time than expected. Shock therapy unfortunately is not available in Nepal. But why not to learn from nearby friends as we do more often than not? For example Dr. Singh who is readily available for providing support to all those who wish to tear apart Nepal ?
So if the death of the CA body has puzzled the people at large then the men who were looting the nation free of charge are not in a very pleased state and equally remain in an askance state as to wherefrom the money will come to their already squeezed pocket and live a lavish life much similar to the manner they have had enjoyed the previous one, not so in the distant past.
Some money spinners, we have been told, were rushed to NORVIC hospital the moment they leant that the CA has been declared dead. We can understand their inner feeling. Poor fellows but suckers.
Really those who plundered the nation deserve adequate sympathies from the population at large. Good or bad, job done or not yet they were Nepali nationals so what if they pocketed some money? Some developed at the cost of the nation. After all there was development. We must not be so cruel on them. We are a peace loving people. We should not forget.
In effect it is this lot who is in trouble now predictably. Free money gone and there lurks the danger that they will be taken to severe tasks, bizarre attacks can’t be ruled out, by their own voters in their respective constituencies as and when they happen to be in their own villages. Thus we appeal the command of Nepal government in Kathmandu to manage their safety as these men were the precious jewels of this ancient nation who kept the pride of this troubled state alive and kicking by not working but yet pocketing monthly hefty salaries, other associated perks and facilities excluded.
Rare phenomenon indeed but yet exemplary which demands mass felicitations.
We would propose that each constituencies from where these “people’s representatives” were elected or for that matter nominated by their respective political parties must now erect their statues so that the future generations to come would understand as to what sort of chaotic mother Nepal as a nation-state had to undergo through for quite some puzzling years through the kind courtesy of these expensive ornaments?
This will, if agreed and accepted, the brilliant proposal, be taken as the Modern History of New Nepal (though in the process we lost even the former and real Nepal) to which the research scholars from both within and without hopefully will collect various interesting points of the bad and the good old days during the much publicized transformation of Nepal in to a vivacious state as promised collectively which were also the design of Nepal’s friends near and far. The design though was with ill-intent.
It is just an idea floated in the larger interest of all those who are interested in understanding the modern history of Nepal. It is up to the state and the present day leaders to take at its face value or reject it summarily if it in any manner degrades their sky touching political personality or even it pinches one’s heart. We may apologise even for our erratic stories. After all in a democratic order, one should be allowed free to accept or reject which is what the beauty of democratic order is.
In sum, we wish to congratulate all those who collected the courage to build a New Nepal but in the process failed or made to fail. Must have been the hidden ploy of the reactionaries and the former Royalists who put their combined strength together in foiling the building of a New Nepal as promised. Naughty reactionaries. You guys will never change!
Reactionaries are really naughty political animals who do not wish to see their own motherland in a developed stage like that of Switzerland and nearer to that of Singapore.
Yet nothing to panic. The talk of the revival of the now dead CA body has once again hit the media headlines thus we can hope that a body with constitutional status will emerge soon out of the blue which could once again be used once again as a milking cow. After all, the Hindu pay respect to mother cow. The flow of milk is there for all time to come save a few months annually.
Job must be created which allows one to enjoy money; however, care must be taken that even if the jobs are created, the job holders be told in advance that they will have not to work as the job creation is to dupe the people under this or that political pretext as has been the fate of the impotent Nepalese over these New Nepal years.
