Those who are still in the country, our sympathy go to them all for not having been able to say good-bye to their homeland. Those who have remained so far in their own country have begun questioning as to whether
This hegemon is having its approach and reach with practically all the leaders of this country and is seen twisting the arms of all the major “fools” of this country-the radical nationalists what they claimed till the other day-included.
The known hegemon has practically bought the Nepali media to the extent that even if our innocent souls are murdered brutally by their Security forces along the borders, neither the media nor the Nepali leaders worth the name speak against such a brutal killing. The past glory and the prestige of this nation all have gone to the dogs. The pure nationalists all appear to have gone to the fold of the hegemon in lieu of some material or political gains. If not then why they don’t speak against this hegemon when our territorial integrity and sovereignty is subjected to a sort of threat and that on a regular basis?
Unfortunately, the population that had pinned high hopes on the Maoists are also seen abiding by the “dictates” of this hegemon or else how come a junior level clerk at the embassy of this hegemon could dare to “summon” our “leaders” on whom the Nepali people still repose their trust. The people believe them not for their “fiery” lectures and not even for their vision for a New Nepal but for what they possess and have reiterated in the past for the preservation of the past glory and the honor of this country.
It is not that we “hate” this hegemon. We want to love and pour honor for this hegemon provided this hegemon acts in a different manner that is desirable and demanded of it while treating this sovereign nation-a nation ever remained independent and sovereign in its long chequered history. We have no hatred for this hegemon if it understands the sentiments of the Nepalese people and the nation. At the people level, our relations are perfectly alright. However, due to the unnecessary sermons and dictates administered to our leaders on a regular basis is what we just hate from heart and soul. Or else we possess abundant love for the people of this country across the border.
Will the nationalists, remaining if any in this country, say no to the dictates of this hegemon in the future?
Partly the blame lay on us as well. If we treat this hegemon as our masters, the other side will definitely treat us all a “Bahadurs” and what not and what not.
In effect, Nepalese residing across the borders are being treated no more no less than Chowkidars, Bahadurs, and loyal servants.
By extension, such a practice of treating the Nepalese citizens-be they the leaders of this country-has also become a regular phenomenon in
Frankly speaking, the Nepali population has not taken in good taste of the entering into the
Many have begun to believe that the former “nationalists” of the highest order that they were have now lost their original credentials. We demand from them that this nation’s prestige and honor must not be compromised at any cost by these “august” leaders.
Or else there would be no difference in the NC and the UML who have become the Left and the Right hand of this hegemon.
The message should be loud and clear.
