Nepal: India is the prime loser

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala who is continuously being administered “steroids” has finally spoken the truth.

It appears that he has fallen flat and come to senses which the nature should have favored him a year back or so.

Better late than never, he has felt the RED steam ultimately. He is now convinced that the REDS can never be trusted as the UML and its entire leadership under the Indo-pendent captain, Madhav Nepal, deceived him at the last moment of the just concluded special session of the parliament.

Ironically, when Koirala is in his Hometown, he speaks the truth and only but truth. Thus he is not yet senile as some one would wish to interpret.

What he said, in his own words is that the seven party unity stood “fractured” and torn apart.

His truth reveals that the “fake” and “temporary” adhesive used by the Indian establishment some two years ago has lost its chemical effect and the chemical has become redundant and thus the SPA unity is in crisis.

As is known to all, when the adhesive doesn’t work, the entire effect is on the “thing or say the process” upon which the glue has been used or forcefully pasted.

India must have felt ashamed that it used the glue which could not work even for complete two years?

Perhaps it was glue bought from the “CHOR” market from which the main architect of the seven party alliance, Shyam saran, and pocketed commission as it is very popular and common among the Indian bureaucrats. The filthy habit has trickled down in Nepal as well. Thanks the Indian bureaucracy.

Shyam Saran must have felt pretty embarrassed who bought this glue in NOIDA and tried to paste it on two such political surfaces which were not compatible to each other.

Unfortunately, he had to glue seven such political jokers who ever in the entire history of this country had never united. But this time in 2005 they united for a cause-the cause being the ouster of King Gyanendra from his chair who “deliberately” sided with China at the SAARC Summit held in Dhaka, if one were to recall. The King was penalized for his (mis)adventure indeed.

If Koirala’s talk of fractured unity among the seven party alliances were taken into account, what comes to the fore is that the Left forces have drifted from India-the real problem creator in this country.

According to Koirala, the SPA unity remains torn apart. In effect Koirala described the SPA unity as a “torn shoe”.

What next?

Political Polarization?

This has already begun which is there for all to see.

What next then?

He has to compromise with the Royalists if he were to save his party from the “upcoming” political onslaughts from the Communist forces who have tentatively come closer to each other leaving thus the NC in the mid of the ocean.

Comrade Mohan Baidya-Pokhrel alias KIRAN has already told the Nepali media in no uncertain terms that if Koirala dilly-dallies their proposal in the up coming session of the parliament, his party-the Maoists- can think on the lines of “replacing Koirala from the chair.

Very freshly he has also said that under the present chaotic circumstances prevailing in the country, the conduct of the CA polls will have no meaning. Elaborating his displeasure over the ever deteriorating security situation Mohan Vaidya predicts that if the CA polls were held under the present scheme of things, the monarchy will benefit.

Will Koirala think thus of quitting the chair voluntarily as he has failed both in containing the worsening security situation and also in keeping the seven party unity intact?

Forget it.

Koirala and Chair have intimate and intrinsic relations. Forget that Koirala will leave the Chair voluntarily. More so it is the Chair received in GRATIS for his enormous favors that he did in the past for the fulfillment of the Indian establishment’s political benefit.

All put together, the country has already been pushed to a precarious situation.

Your loss is my gain and vice versa. Even in politics this applies. Koirala’s admission some time back that “the King has benefited” from their wrong moves in the freshly concluded parliament.

In effect he made this admission right on the evening of November 4 when he and his party remained as a mere onlooker to the growing bonhomie in between the UML and the Maoists at time of the voting in the parliament on that very fateful evening.

By extension, if the King has benefited even by default, according to Koirala, it is India who is the prime loser.

Now it remains to be seen as to how India regains from such a loss? Indian tentacles are every where and thus analysts here presume that India will “devise” some other mechanisms to bring the entire SPA conglomerate in its pocket. It is a matter of time only, said one political analyst to this paper over phone.

India has several cards under its sleeve, mind it. The ethnic card still remains unused. Koirala has already hinted that India can use that very card.

Koirala is right in saying so because India has already hinted that it will use that very card much the same way it used the Maoist card to overthrow the King’s regime, if one were to recall.
