Kathmandu: Lame defence is being searched by some stylish brains in order to hoodwink the entire population once again. The much looked upon idea has been just located in a beaming manner.
The election defeated Madhav Kumar Nepal, who unfortunately ruled Nepal for some twenty two months as Nepal Prime Minister, has already ventilated his inner mind that he would wish for one more extension of the dustbin Nepal’s Constituent Assembly. More money yet remains to be pouched from the tax payer’s emptied pocket.
The fact is that the parties engaged in Constitution writing were at the moment according top priority for the formation of a new government to be led by the Nepali Congress replacing the one led by JNU graduate. A new deal has just been agreed upon.
For the people at large, whether it is JNU led or the NC, no substantial difference could be observed as both were proven appendage of the Indian regime to which the Kathmandu’s political circuit is in knowledge. For Nepali population they were no more no less than an albatross. Yet the JNU has prevailed. The NC and the UML have fallen flat.
The sudden talk of government change instead of remaining engaged in the draft of the constitution could not be a mere coincidence. The not so intimate friend who tentatively controls the Nepali administration through its salaried marionettes must have thought of government change with a purpose which could be the further taming and controlling the Nepali politics and its leaders through its proven and well tested well-trained students. This does also mean that the Indian regime which has a grand say in Nepali politics doesn’t want Nepal to have a new constitution. Trusted and tested Bhattarai will rule over the nation in a collective manner now.
The fear is for real which could be authentically linked with the Monday bomb explosion in Janakpur wherein the local innocent Maithili speaking Nepali population had been demanding for a separate Mithila State for themselves. Understandably, if Janakpur is granted a separate Federal state status then it is sure to encourage the population of the adjoining Indian territories who too were the ancient inhabitants of Mithila state once ruled by the 23rd. King Sir Dhwaj Janak-the father in law of Lord Rama as per the mythological records. Godess Sita was born right here in Janakpur-the capital of Mithilanchal.
In fact Mithila population covers a large Bihar population and occupies a vast landmass which could well be prompted and tempted as well to demand such a separate state for themselves inside the Indian territories if Janakpur sets an example.
Beginning Janakpur stretching out to Madhubani, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Jhanjharpur, Sitamarhi and the adjoining sizeable chunk of Bihar is Mithilanchal, as the historical records have it.
Mithila itself is synonymous to a great civilisation. Food for thought for sharp brain analysts.
Those who hurled bomb on innocent Janakpur Nepali population demanding a separate Mithila State were the Nepali armed outfit which operates in Nepal by residing in India, analysts have been told. The Indian connection has been located already by Nepal police now in investigation. Nepal Police has sought the Indian support.
If per chance, Janakpur is granted the demanded status then adjoining Bihar will have at least ten splits wherein the Mithila population reside in millions and millions. Thus India would not prefer Janakpur being granted with a separate state status as its would-be repercussions may later engulf the entire Indian Union beginning making similar demands in each and every Indian State. Telangana, Punjab, Gorkhaland, Nagaland and Bodoland (and may more) could be cited as burning examples.
If one happens to read books penned by Khuswant Singh, the Punjabi population limitlessly hates Hindu rulers of India. No wonder this straight forward talking Indian writer has penned a book entitled “End of India” which is worth reading.
Back home, the Charter draft talks have been deliberately sidelined and the issue of forming a new government has been accorded priority.
The Maoists party has its own pathetic tale to tell. The hardliner panel is hell bent on exposing its own party Chairman and PM Bhattarai under this or that pretext.
As of the Nepali Congress, a high voltage feud awaits when the party, if per chance, is told to form a new government in its command. The two prime contenders for the Nepal PM post were Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel will in all likelihood tear apart the entire party, already a torn one, while forwarding their respective claims to the lucrative post. Needless to say, President Sushil will prefer Poudel whereas the opposing panel side with Deuba who may secretly enjoy the support of the Royalists and by extension also of those who were housed in the Maoists hardliner panel. However, nothing to panic now as the NC is ready to join BRB national unity government.
In all, the politics of this country is heading towards a catastrophe which if not handled with proper care may invite further troubles, even a civil war could be guessed, which ultimately push the country to a chaotic situation never experienced in the past.
We at this paper condole the ghastly Janakpur explosion which took several innocent Nepali lives. Our hearts are with the bereaved families and appeal the Nepal government to go deep into the matter and find out the cowards who exploded the high powered gelatine.
Rest in peace the departed soul. The nation is with the Janakpur Nepali nationals. Mithila pain is understandable.
